Tea Type: Sheng Pu'er
Origin: Mangfei Mountain, Yunnan Province, China
This is the last of this tea that I possess to sell. When it is gone, it is gone!
"Benevolence" is a 2014-pressed sheng pu'er which I received from a student while I was a teacher. C. Anderson, who also designed the Steep Valley logo, brought me a large cake of this tea after returning from a visit to Yunnan over the winter holiday.
This tea, which is produced on Mang Fei Mountain in the Yunnan province of China, has a a sweet astringency, with a potent aroma from the dry leaves owing to it's age. Floral notes abound in a complex tea liquor colored like a cross between honey and rosé.
There are limited quantities of this tea for sale, and I do not know where to get more - my student never revealed their source!
