By popular request, I have sourced some Jasmine tea!
Yin Hao translates easily to "Silver Hairs", however, 毫 "háo" in this context best comes across as a the tip of a calligraphy brush. This tea is made using only the unopened buds of the tea tree, that have freshly grown. These leaves are then blended with whole jasmine blossoms to produce a wonderfully floral tea.
The dry warmed leaves produce a sweet and powerful jasmine perfume, and when water is added, the sensation is that of lavender candy, but with jasmine in the place of lavender.
The flavor of jasmine flowers, a sweet, crisp, and powerfully floral taste dominates early steeps, but as the tea sits longer (or steeps more times), the umami of green tea mixes to create a pleasant harmony with the blossoms' flavor.
